We assume others show love the same way we do — and if they don’t, we worry it’s not there.

We are a generation of young women who were told we could do anything and instead heard that we had to be everything.

Be gentle. Fill yourself up with love instead of hate. Fill yourself up with art, books, knowledge, experiences. Surround yourself with people who have nothing but love to give. These things are important. They will help you learn how to love.

Anonymous: hi i have a dcp question for you! during the program did you drive yourself or take the buses? are they really that awful?

keut:

i took the buses!

luckily, i was on a bus route that was fairly benign… the G bus.  it stopped at the complexes, caribbean beach, old port royale @ CB, CB/pop century cast services, pop century, and art of animation.  because it had a lot of little stops, i would usually have to be on the bus for about 45 minutes - an hour before i’d get to work.

a few times, the buses broke down and i panicked about getting to work on time.  sometimes, they were late.  but in the end, i was never late to work once during my CP.

the biggest bummer was when i would work opening shifts (which was rare) i’d have to get on the bus at 4:26am to go to vista to catch another bus for my 6:30am shift.  that was bologna.

it also stunk when i’d get off work at 12:15am but the bus came at 12:11am and 12:13am at art/pop so i’d have to wait until 12:40am+ for a bus home at night.

overall, the buses are alright.  it just takes a lot of time.  i would definitely have preferred to have a car, but i’m glad i experienced it in the end.

you forgot to mention the time where you missed the bus and had your beautiful roommate drive you to work.
